Practice Description
Individuals, families and couples, and adolescents are all welcome! I work with people to find creative solutions to their personal dilemmas and relationship challenges. I often work with individuals, couples and families in moments of transition in their lives, careers, parenting and family relationships. I specialize in helping people overcome the effects of trauma, violence, and childhood sexual abuse. I welcome working with people in cross-cultural, international, or across class relationships and am very understanding of complex intergenerational conflicts in families and immigration issues.
My goal is to help you define positive actions that lead you to your goals.
I was born in New York and was raised in Mexico and Texas. I completed my psychotherapy education and clinical training in California, focusing on family systems, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I moved to New York City in 2001. I have 15 years of experience in the field working directly with people from all walks of life. I have worked as a therapist, supervisor, administrator, educator and researcher.
