Practice Description
I am a ‘marriage friendly’ therapist who strongly believes in sustainable love, genuine forgiveness, authentic happiness and personal growth. I am passionate about helping strengthen and enhance healthy relationships. Through heightened awareness and insights, people can and do enjoy a richer, more joy-filled life where they make better choices and live more effectively.
I’m pro-marriage and believe many, but not all, relationships can be improved. People have incredible resources and possibilities they are not aware of and my job is to help them uncover those strengths. I am an unfriendly therapist to emotional cut offs, distorted thinking, depression, anxiety, bigotry and other unhealthy coping strategies. Yet, another door can open to those suffering with grief and loss and it is an honor to be a part of the process.
Solution focused, strength-based, empowering counseling is what I do where I will challenge and encourage and support you in your quest for a better life. Faith is a major part of my life and guides who I am. As such, I welcome work with people of all faiths, as well as those who do not have religion or spirituality as a part of their life. My work is a blessing and a calling and it is truly wonderful to be helping people get better and better. I am the expert and pride myself on working hard to acquire knowledge for your benefit, but you are someone far more important…you are the author of your life.
“I think you have lots of compassion, are able to offer perspective that is useful and concrete and offer practical suggestions for change.”
“You took the pieces of shattered glass and showed me that it was possible to put them back together.”
“You helped me see things I never thought of – good things in my life that I didn’t recognize.”
