I am one of the few clinicians in Greenville, NC with a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE-Accredited program (the highest level of accrediatation in the nation for Marriage and Family Therapy). I received my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University. Texas Tech is one of the premier, if not the premier, training institutes in the country for Marriage and Family Therapists.

What this means for you is that you can have confidence that the training I received was of the highest calibur. More importantly, I was specifically trained in doing therapy with couples and families rather than being trained in individual therapy and then trying to adapt to having more than one person in the same room. Instead I have received specific training on effectively dealing with the needs of multiple people at the same time.

Experience:

I have been doing therapy for more than 11 years. The experiences that I've had during the course of these 11 years has been extremely diverse. They have included, but are not limited to, the following experiences:

The Employee Assistance Program for the Department of Neuropsychiatry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

Working at Aspen Achievement Academy (a wilderness therapy program for at-risk adolescents)

Group leader for premarital groups, parenting groups, and a therapy group designed to help families adapt to the fact that their child was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Although I am trained and have experience in dealing with a wide range of problems facing couples and families, my specific areas of clinical speciality include:

When dealing with insurance companies there is a variety of different ways to be reimbursed. Although I am not currently on any insurance panels that does not mean my services cannot be reimbursed. I am happy to provide you with any and all paperwork you'll need in order to get reimbursed.
