Rev. Joseph B. Alexander is very excited to open his own Private Practice: Footprints Counseling, PLLC (January 2014)! Rev. Alexander provides counseling to individuals (adults as well as older children 8+ and adolescents), couples and families for grief issues, depression, anxiety, vocational and relational issues as well as most forms of personal, marital, and family problems. Although Joseph's license is a Marriage and Family Therapist, he has also been theologically trained and can explore spiritual issues and crises as a pastoral counselor. Joseph has particular interest in working with couples and working with grief issues with individuals and groups.
He says he believes his role as a counselor is not to be "an expert who gives answers, but as one who journeys along side others as they seek to find their own answers and where God may be leading them." People usually come in the midst of a storm and he believes it is important to provide a place of solace where folks can process their situation with someone not emotionally involved with with their situation.
