Practice Description

I provide counseling and therapy services to adults, couples, and parents and have over 40 years of counseling and therapy experience. I employ a model of counseling and therapy based on the theory and principles of Adlerian Psychology. The model incorporates both depth (understanding unconscious belief systems formed in childhood and transforming those beliefs)...and... breadth (understanding patterns of behavior in relationships and changing those patterns). I also employ practical problem solving, parent education, and communication skills in my counseling practice. I feel confident in addressing a wide variety of issues including emotional distress in its many forms, relationship conflicts and quandaries, grief and loss, life transitions, and trauma. I use the the models of of EMDR and Lifespan Integration to reprocess painful memories. I always strive to work collaboratively with my clients and incorporate their creativity in the therapy process. As a AAMFT Approved Supervisor and State of Washington Approved Supervisor I offer supervision and consultation to licensed associates and licensed therapy professionals.
