Practice Description
I specialize in helping adults and families resolve conflict in a healing and learning environment that promotes harmony, mutual cooperation and growth. Through a comprehensive assessment, treatment plan and individual, couples, family or group therapy, my goal is to help people resolve the following concerns: chronic marital and family conflict, anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, parenting and family relationships, divorce and remarriage, blended family issues, co-dependency and addiction recovery, grief and loss recovery, adults caring for dying parents, women's development, stress and anger management and low self-esteem. In addition to office therapy sessions, and as an optional service, I offer experiential learning and coaching opportunities through EquiHeart, where people leave the constraints of an office setting and challenge themselves in basic horsemanship activities with horses who give immediate, honest and direct feedback and guide participants to improved communication skills, cooperative problem solving, enhanced self-and other awareness, and increased confidence and self-esteem. Combined with office therapy, The Equine Encounter helps people move more quickly and effectively through their issues, improving their lives and relationships.
