Practice Description
My approach to therapy is Christ-based, finding ways to integrate our understanding of God’s love for us with what it means to deal with problems and be emotionally healthy. I believe that what has been damaged in relationship is best healed in relationship, whether with those one lives and interacts with or in a therapeutic setting. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I have experience working with couples to address communication issues and resolve conflicts. I have worked extensively with children and families, focusing on treating trauma and loss related to distressing life situations like sexual and physical abuse, death, transitions, and stress. My therapeutic experience covers helping others deal with depression, anxiety, anger, childhood behaviors, and parenting concerns.
