Practice Description
I believe that most of the issues people struggle with are issues we all face as we seek to create meaningful lives.
I believe in the importance of a good fit between client and therapist, and in addressing together how the work of therapy is helping the client in their day to day life.
Scope of Practice
§ Couples counseling: Helping partners connect, communicate, heal, do conflict. Integrating Gottman and Emotion-Focused principles, I work to help partners join together against negative patterns in their relationship, instead of against each other, as well as building the fondness, admiration, and friendship between them.
§ Premarital counseling;
§ Women's issues (empowerment, loss of self, depression);
§ Healing and integration of childhood experience, trauma, abuse, neglect
§ Spirituality - incorporating your spirituality into your growth process
§ Poetry therapy - utilizing creativity and journaling
§ Chronic illness
§ Divorce adjustment
