I've held licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and been in private practice since 1985.
I've also completed clinical training in Jungian Family Play Therapy, Trauma Treatment, and Addiction Treatment. I do Family Therapy, Play Therapy with children, family and couples, Couples Therapy and Individual Therapy. I've done extensive work with blended families, stepfamilies and remarriage issues. I also enjoy and have a lot of experience with adolescents and young adults. Recently, I've developed a relationship with Hospice and am working with families with illness, aging and grief issues. I work closely with a Neuro-Psychiatrist for those in my practice with chronic illnesses, cancer, depression and accident related illneses. I also am Certified as an Addiction Counselor in Georgia and have extensive experience in substance abuse issues. I am married (my husband, Greg Jurkovic, Ph.D. and I practice together). We have a blended family; 4 step-children and children; 2 who are married and 1 in college and one at home. I intentionally limit my practice size and take pride in taking special care of each and every one of my clients.
