Practice Description
I work with individuals, couples and families who feel stuck in unproductive communication patterns or who can't seem to make important decisions. I help the family identify its goals and the changes they want to make and then try to help the family achieve them. My commitment is to be flexible, responsive and attuned -- in other words to be an empathic collaborator or coach as opposed to an absolute authority figure. While I enjoy working with all kinds of people and problems, I have special interest in premarital couples, couples in conflict, adult children and their parents, divorce, anxiety, depression, and bringing together family members who are cut off (not speaking). I also have substantive background in education settings and can provide career counseling and assistance to students in academic or personal difficulty.
