Practice Description
I have been a practicing clinician for over 20 years with experience in a variety of community and private mental health settings. I’ve worked 12 years in higher education as the director of student counseling services at DePaul University and North Central College, as well as served as an adjunct faculty member of Wheaton College’s Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. I am a Clinical Fellow member of The American Association for marriage and Family Therapy, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am also an ordained deacon.
In addition to specializing in a pastoral counseling model of care, I address the developmental issues of adolescents and young adults and have experience in working with issues of depression and anxiety, substance abuse, anger management, multi-cultural, vocational, family of origin issues, and identity issues in men. My passion is for assisting others in reconciling spiritual issues that have been obstructed by histories of abuse, neglect, grief and trauma. I also enjoy helping couples and those facing marriage and remarriage in premarital counseling.
