Practice Description
Our lives evolve in relationship to ourselves, our partners, our families, communities and other beings. Relationships are unavoidable. We are always meeting new people or trying to sustain current relationships; and, in addition to our human relationships, our pets and gardens can also become an integral part of our lives and healing processes. I will help you develop a healthy flow of emotion, communication, care and balance in these areas where you find yourself stuck. I will assist you in developing secure connections to others to protect you from loneliness, depression, sadness, anxiety and isolation.
I bring to our work my life experience across cultures, ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations. I traveled, worked and lived in the U.S (East and West) and internationally (India, Latin America, Europe). I will help you tap into your relational and inner wisdom for healing through an integration of Western and Indigenous psychology, mind-body awareness practices, and eco-psychology. I am fully bilingual (Spanish/English).
I have over 20 years of experience working with adults and couples dealing with relationship issues, parenting, grief and loss (including pets), career changes, and illness. I focus on anxiety related issues (trauma, generalized anxiety, phobias and panic attacks), legacies of sexual abuse in adolescent and adult males and females, intimacy and sexuality.
To learn if my approach is a fit for you, I offer an in person 45 minute, free, non-clinical consultation. This will allow us to meet, experience each other in a therapeutic space, and address your financial needs.
Areas of practice include marital distress; traumatic stress; sexuality; depression; anxiety; domestic violence; ethnic identity development; loss and grief (including pets); clinical supervision and multicultural consulting.
