Practice Description
I use compassion and acceptance to provide a safe place for clients to process issues important to them; meeting clients where they are emotionally and spiritually so that I can accompany them on their current journey in life. I provide a structured environment and interactive therapy session which focuses on the client's agenda. As a therapist, I draw from different therapeutic approaches appropriate to the situation. When working with individuals, families or couples, I feel it is important to look at the individual - their personal story, thought patterns, and behavioral strengths - as well as their relationships with others.
I have a Master of Science in Counselor Education degree and a Master of Public Health degree, as well as training and experience in cultural diversity. I can coordinate my client's care with other mental health and medical professionals when requested. My areas of specialty include mood disorders - bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression, couples counseling, adolescents, and alcohol abuse.
I enjoy working with individuals, families and couples - helping people through the changes life brings. People possess inner strength and my task is to help them learn to access it. Each client is unique and I look forward to meeting and working with you. Please call to explore working together.
