I consider the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of individuals lives when treating them and place an emphasis on how they systematically function in their environment. My areas of interest include couples/marital therapy; parenting issues; mood disorders; anxiety disorders; and spiritual/religious issues. I view the goal of therapy as facilitating a persons ability to better cope with the stressors or problems they are having by addressing intrapersonal and interpersonal conflict. My approach is to use Cognitive-Behavioral and Insight-Oriented interventions with individuals. With couples and families, treatment goals revolve around improving communication and conflict resolution skills by focusing on family members need to increase the respect, admiration and genuine interest in the well being of others.
