Practice Description

My personal counseling practice with private clients began in 1969. I see a full range of clients. Individuals and couples are dealing with issues of depression,anxiety, anger management and life disruptions such as divorce,extra-marital affairs,medical issues to developmental life transitions in early adulthood and mid-life. Aging issues such as retirement, downsizing and relocation are increasingly issues faced by clients.

I am seeing many young couples as well as couples at mid-life with the varying issues they face making and continuing a life together. Over 60% of my clients are in couple's counseling with me. I've been married a very time now and raised a family with my wife so I'm seasoned and know something about what it takes to deal with the many real life problems we all face in in staying connected while living a busy life. I continue to enjoy working with clients and helping them grow where they want to grow individually and with one another.

I have a rich family and relational therapy orientation which leads me to give careful attention to the relational problems,needs and possibilities of my clients. I also see a number of clients coming with business issues that are stressing them personally, some of which are family business issues, including those of entrepreneurial couples.

Consulting with other counseling professionals in attaining practice satisfaction through clinical consultation and practice marketing and development consultation is also a niche I've developed through my extensive experience over the years. I co-founded Isenberg & Associates back in 1974 with my wife, Raye Isenberg which we sold in 2008 and now practice in our own practice of Isenberg Counseling, LLC.
