Practice Description
The beginning of Heartstream Journeys can be traced back to 1985, when the first workshops, which evolved into the 6-day "treatment week" were created. These programs were designed to create an experiential healing process for issues involving family-of-origin, codependency, relationships, and issues around emotional trauma. Heartstream Journeys has continued to evolve over the years to its present form, which includes four-, five-, and six-day programs for individuals; a five-day program for couples--which includes intensive communication development and family-of-origin work in the context of what we refer to as "container" work; one-day workshops; two and three day alumni renewal programs; and the Nashville area practice.
Within the Franklin/Nashville area practice, I offer individual, couples, and family therapy, experiential group therapy for individuals, couples group therapy, and a monthly training group for helping professionals. The practice began in 1979 in Columbia, South Carolina and has evolved to its present form in the Nashville area.
The Heartstream Journey Programs are held in a variety of locations, including the Well of Mercy in Harmony, North Carolina; Seagrove Beach, Florida; and several locations in southern England in the United Kingdom. Our venues are important as they provide a symbolic backdrop for the spiritual/emotional, symbolic/experiential work of Heartstream Journeys.
