Practice Description

My primary practice in California consists of mentoring licensed therapists who seek to become AAMFT Approved Supervisors. I work with therapists face-to-face, either online or at my local office. I also provide mentoring for licensed therapists who wish to improve their supervision skills. My emphasis is on helping a supervisee to (1) discover the differences between therapist skills and supervisory skills, (2) understand the tasks of supervision, (3) address the importance of context to the supervisory experience, (4) review ethical and legal issues that arise in supervision and (5 ) identify her/his role in the supervision process.

A second part of my practice is devoted to consulting with individuals, couples or families who have a family member experiencing symptoms of Dementia or Alzheimer's. I meet with clients either online or at my local office. My emphasis is on helping to locate resources and learn techniques for dealing with stress.
