Jennifer Mejias is a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience in treating children ages 3 to 18 with trauma histories including sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and trafficking/exploitation. She is passionate about leading families through a journey of healing and empowering them to feel connected to themselves and others. She seeks use of creative interventions including purposeful play and expressive techniques to disarm fear, build connection, and teach competencies for life.
Jennifer is trained in treatment modalities including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC). She is also pursuing a certification in Play Therapy.
