Practice Description
Using a holistic systemic approach, I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups as well as life coaching, corporate consultation and spiritual direction. Believing that body-mind-spirit is an integrated and indivisible whole, I am able to make the therapy fit the person or the system. I utilize systems thinking including structural/strategic and solution oriented modalities, object relations, cognitive-behavioral therapy, group theory, conflict resolution, bibliotherapy, gestalt, bioenergetics, psychodrama, breath work, hypnosis, and meditation techniques.
My philosophy is existential/humanistic/transpersonal, which means I focus on the discovery and enhancement of your resources, even your spiritual resources, rather than merely diagnosing your pathology or deficit. I realize that as therapists/coach I am a guide, resource bank, and teacher of choice. I help you to heal yourself and sort out your system, which requires active participation on your part. I do not wave a magic wand but do give homework to help you make the most out of the dollars you spend on this adventure. In addition to depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, marital problems, agoraphobia, ADHD, midlife issues, spiritual emergencies and vocational transitions, I also specialize in organizational conflict resolution, especially for religious institutions.
