Practice Description
I'm an assistant professor of marriage and family therapy, a LMFT in the state of Tennessee, an AAMFT approved supervisor, and a certified family life educator (CFLE).
To date, I've worked with a wide range of presenting issues and clients in settings such as an employee assistance program with a large university and hospital, a rural high school, a community agency, and within a county jail. I've also taught courses on topics related to conflict resolution, trauma, and mindfulness, and have consulted with various types of organizations on how to best manage conflict as well as prevent burnout and compassion fatigue in the helping professions.
I primarily work with men on problems related to their mental health (e.g., managing stress, anxiety, depression, anger, relationships, etc.) and relationships, with couples and challenges they face within their relationship (e.g., work-life balance, communication, sexual issues, extended family concerns, chronic health issues), and with helping professionals (e.g., healthcare professionals, teachers, clergy, etc.) experiencing burnout and compassion fatigue in their role. I also provide approved telehealth services.
