Practice Description
Linda Doutre has been in private practice in Texas since 1989. She has a Masters in Counseling Psychology and Education from the University of Southern California. Linda is a certified Bioenergetic (somatic) psychotherapist. She is also an advanced practictioner of ETT, Emotional Transformational Therapy, skilled in the use of color and light to work with such issues as PTSD and other therapeutic issues. In addition, Linda trained with Rick Carson from 1992 to the 2010, completing the post-graduate training institute in gestalt therapy and coaching. She is a coaching Fellow of the Gremlin Training Institute. Linda is also a certified hypnotherapist. She has a diverse background and experience working with all ages. As an Expressive Arts therapist, she uses the creative process to deepen the therapeutic experience and conducts ongoing creativity workshops and individual creativity sessions. She also conducts individual intensive retreats using art and creativity to connect client(s) to their inner spirit. In addition to her private practice, Linda owns BrainPower Institute, a diagnostic developmental testing and remediation center with programs for sensory integration, cognitive, physiological and emotional/behavioral problems. She has a therapeutic program for Dyslexia and serves as a consultant for other developmental centers. Linda is an artist whose work shows emotion and mystery. She works in acrylic and mixed media, favoring the abstract process. She is an accomplished art jeweler with her own jewelry line, Talking Beads.
