Practice Description
My mission is to provide comprehensive professional mental health services addressing a broad range of psychological, behavioral,emotional, spiritual, and relationship issues to individuals, couples, and families. My approach can best be described as a direct, results-oriented approach with the goal of finding realistic solutions to the problems that can make life difficult. This approach focuses on finding patterns of behavior that are no longer working effectively, exploring the past only as it relates to current issues. My theoretical orientation can best be described as Brief Psychotherapy. Professional services offered include: Individual, Family, Marital, Group, and Premarital Counseling. I provide Clinical Supervision for graduate students, therapists wishing to fulfill the requirements for state licensure, and expereinced clinicians wishing to obtain Approved Supervisor status through the American Association for Marital and Family Therapy. I have 25 years of experience as a counseling professional. Areas of specilaization in my practice include: adolescent adjustment problems, anger management, anxiety disorders, marital conflict, criminal offenders, depression, divorce adjustment, family conflict, family violence, grief and loss, mood disorders, parenting issues, post-traumatic stress, spirituality issues, stepfamily adjustment, stress management, workplace difficulties.
