Practice Description
Above all else, I believe in the healing power of relationship. During therapy, we co-create a space that provides you with the safety to explore your feelings, challenge old assumptions and stories, and do the brave work of transformation. My work involves us noticing and responding together to whatever unfolds, and using the therapeutic relationship to unearth compassion and create change. I believe we all have the innate capacity to do this, but sometimes we need a little boost from an ally to remember what we're capable of.
The therapeutic models that best describe my approach include attachment theory and EFT (emotionally-focused therapy), interpersonal neurobiology, and family systems theory.
My counseling work is also informed by a commitment to understanding dynamics of privilege and oppression.
