Practice Description
Through a relational, collaborative, and strength based approach, I assist women and teen girls in finding their balance and learning ways to communicate their voice in connection with others, and find their inner strengths using a mindfulness and embodied approach. I also help families and couples develop effective skills for communicating with one another.
My clinical areas of passion include; empowering women from diverse backgrounds in the many changes college, graduate school, career, relationships, family, and life bring. Including; developing a healthy relationship with your body, the skills needed to emotionally prepare for college and young adulthood, establishing and maintaining a healthy dating relationship. I also assist teen girls in making healthy choices around peer and dating relationships, helping high achievers find a balance with mind, body, and spirit, and establish healthy connections and communication between mothers and daughters. I also love helping new couples, newly engaged, or recently married in transforming their power struggles into a place of connection and empathy.
As a bi-cultural and bi-lingual in Spanish therapist, I have worked with women, couples, teens and their families from diverse backgrounds navigate their way through a bi-cultural world and bi-cultural relationships. Through my experience in college mental health, I developed my passion for assisting high achieving women and early career women in their journey through acculturation, generational issues, assisting first generation and international students find a balance with career, academics, family life, and culture.
In addition to my clinical practice, I provide presentations and workshops to adolescents, young women, colleges, and organizations that help women establish and develop confident and healthy relationships as they navigate their social, emotional, and academic worlds.
