Practice Description

My practice consists of working with individuals, couples, families and groups. I counsel with clients for a variety of challenges and difficulties to include depression, anxiety, marital discord, adoption, communication, sexuality, pre-marital education, military-related stressors and issues of faith and spirituality. I have been clinically trained in both short-term and long-term counseling paradigms (family systems theory and psychodynamic psychotherapy) as well as theology. I work with clients from a collaborative and strengths-based position believing that healing occurs in relationships built on trust, care and equality. The goal is to help clients effectively negotiate life’s transitions, develop healthy interpersonal relationships, and sort out issues of ultimate meaning. I am also Approved Supervisor offering supervision for MFT / mental health interns and residents. Distance Therapy and Supervision is also available (as allowed by state law).
