Laura Wallace is an individual and family therapist in Federal Way, WA. She is the owner and clinical director of Twin Lakes Counseling. Her counseling approach integrates systemic, strategic, and Gestalt therapy to increase awareness and empower clients to improve their lives and relationships. With specialized training in trauma response, Laura helps clients become aware of the spiritual dynamics, family of origin patterns, repetitive attachment fears, and thoughts and ideas that have become ingrained in their approach to the world. Her goal is to help clients experience freedom and resolution so they can more fully enjoy their life and purpose.

Laura received her masters degree from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT, and her PhD from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Her research interests include the intersection of mental health and education, specifically finding ways to overcome the mental health barriers to low income and minority students' academic achievement. She is a recipient of the AAMFT Minority Fellowship and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
