Practice Description
Martha's warmth, approachability and humor quickly set people at ease. Therapy becomes a safe place for clients to fully express themselves and explore creative options for making their lives better. If you are looking for more constructive ways to manage the conflict, anxiety, heartbreak or disappointment that life can bring, consider taking this important step toward happiness and health.
Martha skillfully guides her clients toward decisions and actions that can help them develop healthier relationships, make important life decisions and overcome fears that prevent them from living satisfying, meaningful lives. When people are hurting, they often turn to their faith, asking questions that can be difficult to answer. If desired, she can also help clients make life changes that are consistent with their beliefs and values.
Clients often come to therapy because of a crisis in their lives. Some stay after the crisis is resolved to make major life changes. You are welcome to come in for an initial session. If the relationship feels like a good fit, Martha will work with you to set goals and decide on a pace for therapy that feels right for you.
Martha is an ordained United Methodist Minister and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She works with adults; both individuals and couples. While trained to treat a variety of issues, Martha's primary areas of specialty are relationship problems and anxiety disorders. Her goal is to help people achieve calmness in their lives and their relationships.
Martha is now offering "Couples' Intensives"; three-hour, monthly sessions for couples. These intensives are best suited to highly motivated, self-directed couples who want to work actively to achieve significant change in their relationship.
