Practice Description
I use my training in psychotherapy, and family systems therapy, to specialize in working with individuals, couples, and family members. I work with people who are experiencng a wide range of life's challenges; including sadness, disappointment, fear, worry, frustration and relational difficulties with partners, family members, or co-workers. I see most problems in living as arising from long standing emotional pressure from our family systems. Please feel free to call, without charge, for a discussion and evaluation of your situation. 845 331 3550 OR 212 677 3691 Most of us take on a family role and find ourselves fulfilling family expectations in our choice of friends, school, work and especially our life partners. When we aware of our family-determined role, as contrasted with a deep sense of our true identity, we have the vital knowledge we need to make long lasting changes in our life. This perspective, along with an understanding of human emotions and how to deal with them, marks all my work whether it addresses emotional stress; parenting; stage of life changes such as preparation for marriage, parental relationships with adult children, losses due to separation, illness, death, or divorce, gender issues, or spiritual questions.
I have conducted numerous couples workshops for enrichment, work regularly in church related marriage preparation programs, parenting groups, and clergy support groups. I am versed in the use of Clinical Hypnosis as an adjunct to treatment and hold a Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
