Practice Description
I specialize in creating a safe environment for my clients in order to empower personal and relational growth, healing, emotional wellness, goal achievement and development. While working with couples, I focus on providing a safe and efficient platform, focusing on restoring connection and trust while improving communication and problem solving. Family therapy provides me with a unique opportunity to bring the entire family system together in order to cope with many different problems and situations. I will oftentimes engage children in the therapeutic process using a variety of creative interventions such as play, art and literature.
I am an AAMFT approved supervisor and currently hold a position at Northwestern University as clinical supervising faculty where I provide group supervision to MFT students. I also provide supervision and consultation to practicing therapists.
I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University, which is one of the most respected programs in the field. Through this experience I received extensive training in individual, child & adolescent, couple and family therapy. I am trained in several therapy models and use an integrative approach.
