Practice Description
I am an experienced psychotherapist with specialized training in marriage and family therapy. My mission is helping my clients become the best they can be by resolving their difficulties. These may include conflicts with partner, parent-child conflicts, infertility and adoption issues, and dealing with challenging behaviors in children and adolescents.
When working with families and children, I typically focus on improving communication and parenting strategies without the drama of power struggles. I use a multitude of therapeutic approaches aimed to reduce behavioral problems and acting out in children and young adults.
The primary goal of couples therapy is increasing your understanding of yourself, your partner, and the patterns of interactions that may have become detrimental to the relationship. Once these have been explored and understood, we work on developing positive habits that will enhance and solidify the intimate relationship.
Making the decision to go to marriage counseling can be tough. If you have a troubled relationship, however, seeking help is more effective than ignoring your problems or hoping they get better on their own.
