Practice Description
I work from an eclectic systems theory base for adults, families, and children. I have spent the last thirteen years helping people integrate deep experiences of trauma, grief, and politically-motivated torture into their own process of recovery and healing. I have many years experience with refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants, and displaced families. I also have a special interest in assisting families or individuals who are now entering the phase of life when they are caring for a parent or other dependent elder, making decisions for home-based care, hospice care, or are working with a care facility. I am also interested in working with anyone who is grieving a loss of any kind: a friend, a companion animal, a job, or a family member.I prefer a holistic approach, have a broad worldview, and am open for consultation with potential clients, as well as clinicians working with the above mentioned groups. I also enjoy facilitating meetings and workshops as a part of my practice.
