Practice Description
In my therapeutic work, I have seen individuals forgiving themselves and becoming self-compassionate after finding a safe and non-judgmental place where they could open up and talk about hurtful life experiences. I have also seen adolescents and parents expressing how much they would like to reach out to each other, and identifying and working through past or current events that got in the way. I have seen some realizing their full potential, and I have seen others coming to terms with losses that have been difficult to accept. I have seen couples finding the way to reconnect, and honestly express their longings for a closer relationship even in the midst of histories of letting each other down. I believe in the healing power of relationships. I also believe that as human beings we want to grow and feel proud of who we are. What I offer in my therapeutic work is a safe place for these processes of growth, reconnection and healing to happen. Repairing connections and facilitating emotional processing are the main instruments that I have used in my therapeutic work, mainly based in the ideas and interventions of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Attachment Based Family Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy.
