Practice Description

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 11 years experience working with clients with diverse backgrounds and needs. Some areas of interest and clinical focus for me are family systems and relationships, criminal justice and mental health, chemical dependency and mental health dual diagnosis, sexuality education and diversity in families and individuals. I conduct many court ordered mental health evaluations in addition to providing on-going treatment for individuals, families and couples. I believe that our families have a strong influence on our thoughts and behaviors and sometimes I choose to work from a family/systems perspective. What this means to you is that I try to look at your life and situation from a holistic, or systemic, perspective including relationships with family, friends and others. I believe that the process happening in the therapy room sometimes mimics the processes happening for you outside the therapy room. This can provide us with opportunities for corrective experiences.
