Practice Description
Since 1996, my therapeutic practice includes working with individuals, couples, families, and with substance abuse. I specialize in couples and family therapy, in addition to working with substance abusing adolescents and adults. I operate from a systems theory approach, which dominates all aspects of my MFT practice. For continuity of care, I enjoy collaborating with outside resources such as probation, human services, schools, churches, medical doctors, psychiatrists, and other therapists. Most of my appointments take place at my office, but I occasionally do home-based therapy, human services/probation staffings, and therapy sessions at schools or other convenient locations. Consultation and supervision to other therapists or agencies are also part of my practice, including teaching the AAMFT Approved Supervisor 30-hour Fundamentals Course and the 5-hour Refresher Course.
