Practice Description
I have successfully worked with adults & children, couples & families, who presented with both common and complex mental health needs. My education and advanced training in proven, leading-edge mind-body approaches--EMDR (eye movement desensitization & reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) offers an ability to tailor treatment to meet the specific needs of each individual. My role is active, facilitative, and solution-oriented, not passive, or controlling.
My approach is less talk oriented and more focused on experiential development; allowing an access and working through of past memories that dictate present day perceptions, feelings, and behaviors. My approach is more holistic in that it views symptoms as functional and attempts at coping (albeit less effective and less desirable), that together we move with and through them to the roots of old learning. I am able to assist you without requiring a lifetime of coping skills, but rather you change from the inside out.
